Pad Narayanan
I write and speak about the part of AI work the demo never has to carry.
The pattern I keep seeing is simple. The model is usually fine. What fails is everything around it.
A tool can win every demo and still quietly stop mattering. The answer lands somewhere nobody looks. The review queue has no owner. Quality slips and nobody notices. That gap, between a good demo and a tool people still rely on three months later, is the work I care most about.
I write about it on Substack, one short essay at a time, and I turned the questions I kept asking into a one-meeting check called The Production Test. I give talks on it too.
Outside work, I serve on the board of Hemophilia of Georgia.
